Exploring

The wind whistled gently above the calm, glittering waters of the huge lake. Asenceana walked in and knelt beside the river. She was in her centaur form. She gazed around, smiling at the picturesque river. She had read a page in a tomb about this place and knew its history. She chuckled when she thought what she would do if she actually saw Scylla.

A stream of foamy bubbles rose to the surface, bringing a water nymph along with it. Drifting to the edge of the lake, she approached Asenceana and smiled. "Vedui, Asenceana, Kaitegia."

Arya jumped a bit, her eyes scanning the water nymph. she hadn't seen one in a very long time... probably at her coronation when she was thirteen which was well, lets just say a long time ago...
She stood up and bowed slightly
"Hello, Water Nymph. For how long have you been here?"

"We've been waiting for you for quite a while. Scylla told us that you would be coming, and we've been preparing for it ever since. She askes if you would like to visit her in our underwater home."

Arya looked a little surprised
"Well i never knew Scylla knew about me" She smiled
"of course. I would love to visit her underwater home" She grinned. She took her two swords from the two straps on her back and clasped them together in a motion. They flashed a bright light and merged, becoming a silver, black and white staff with a glittering blue orb floating on the top. She held the staff out infront of her using both hands and chanted quietly
"lifess undethar aquosse"
What looked like a layer of water covered her from her head to all around her body. She stomped her staff on the ground and then became elf form in a swirl of silver.
"I am ready" She nodded, stepping towards the edge of the water.

The water nymph reached out her hands and helped Asenceana onto the foam she floated on. The foam was a cushon of sorts, an endless elevator shaft (of sorts), created and sustained by Scylla's vast reserves of magical power.
As soon as the nymph felt that Asenceana was settled, she spoke a rune and the foam sank into the depths of the lake, bringing Asenceana and the nymph along with it in its center. The two could see out into the clear depths of the lake through the small bubbles and see the strange denizens of the lake.

Asenceana gazed out into the vast onderwater valleys of the lake, seeing many creatures that she had never seen before. It started to get much cooler as they went deeper, into a more greyer area with jagged looking rocks. They started to go slower. There was total silence in the area. Suddenly a screeching figure raced for the bubble, pounding on it and screeching, its bright green eyes flashing dangerously. Dark green hair floated up around its pointed face and sharp fangs protruded from its mouth, yellow from decay and what looked like blood stains. The thing had a long mermaid like tail but messily frayed and black at the end. It screeched again and hissed trying to get into the bubble.
"A Dark Soul Mermaid" She looked to the water nyph. "I find these in Avalon too"

"We call them Triton's Furies, honoring Scylla's Greek backgrounds. Triton was her father, in a way, and the Furies were Hade's creatures, monsters that harry the unfortunate. These Furies are creatures of water and were ruled over by Triton, hence the name."
The nymph floated to edge of the stream of foam, and looked at the Fury's arm. She frowned. Suddenly, she plunged her arm out of the foam and seized the Fury's arm. The thing twisted and turned, but the nymph kept her grip, surprisingly strong for her frail figure.

"We deal with these creatures by tagging them," the nymph explained. "We collect blood from each of them, and give the samples to Scylla. Whenever a tagged Fury causes trouble, like this one, Scylla places a spell upon the collected blood which then spreads to the original Fury. This one though is new."
The nymph drew a silver dagger, shaped like jagged seaweed and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Cutting the Fury's lower arm, she quickly collected it in a crystal phial and plugged it. Instantly the wound healed but formed a black scar, jagged like the dagger.
The nymph let go and returned to the foam, pocketing the phial.

Asenceana nodded and looked on as they enterd more underwater vallerys, brighter and vibrant with life with fishes and corals. A large white coral structure passed them and a merman approached them from behind the big rock. He had dark brown hair and green eyes, along with a dark blue tail. He carried a spear somewhat like the nymphs dagger and nodded at the nyph, eyeing asenceana as they passed and entering two giant silver and white gates.

They had reached Scylla's dwelling. The entire palace was magical coral, a living growing reef that would naturally expand and grow over years. The coral glowed a pearly, milky white, providing light to see, illuminating the entire place.
The nymph led Asenceana to a grand hall and took them up a gently winding sets of stairs, entering a large room. "This room has been set up for your use. We have often found that land elves' clothes are ill-suited to life down here in the lake. Scylla ordered a new set of clothing for you, magically tailored to fit your size. We hope you won't find the clothing ugly."
Drifting over to a screened niche, she drew back some seaweed to reveal a large wardrobe. Pulling out a silk-like costume of light blue and white, she left it lying on a smooth marble surface and left the room.

Asenceana didnt get the chance to say thank you to the nymph. She set her eyes on the outfit and smiled. The clothes werent that bad at all! She picked it up and ran her hand along the fabric. Some type of underwater thread as she saw formed the lovely gown. She quickly changed and started to look around. The room was huge and had white pillars. The bed was made up of almost the same fabric as her dress but warmer. She looked on the desk to find a piece of parchment with silver cursive writing on it.
"Welcome, Kaitegia Asenceana. I hope you enjoy the room that we had set up for you. I will see you soon for dinner, in the mean time, feel free to explore! I have already told the guards about your arrival.

She grined turning around to the door as she was about to go out. She stopped to see an elf guard at the door bowing low. it was a female guard long dark blue hair and big, slanted light blue eyes. She smiled at Asenceana
"Welcome, Lady Asenceana. Scylla has sent me to look after you here and show you around"
"Alright!" Asenceana exclaimed excitedly as she went quickly to the door.

Im not sure about that she smiled, wandering the halls slowly, taking in the marble/coral walls and the intricate paintings of underwater scenes. She noticed that most of the scenes were deep under water. She saw some portraits of the beautiful scylla and smiled.
As she moved further down the large hallways, she saw a large bronze statue of some kind of crature with a sculpture Scylla on top, holding a large trident triumphantly above her. The creature looked alot like a land horse, but had a mussle tha was pointing downward and had some kind of armour protecting it all alon its forehead like a prawn. It had long, scaled arms with wings attatched to the bottom sides of it and a long neck like a dragon. Its skinny tail looked powerful with long fins at the end and its back arched gracefully, connecting to its long hind legs much like its arms. A beatuiful creature...She winced and thought. This must be the Sea Dragon. SHe looked at the statue with awe and smiled at the female guard.
"This is beautiful..."

"Her name is Aquaria, and is Scylla's companion. It is rumored that they were born together, for Neptune had many wives..." Clearing her throat, the sea elf continued. "Her kind are commonly called the Sea Dragons, and are indeed kin to the more common land Dragons of Fire. We in Scylla's realm have a special breed, more powerful than most, due to the magical influence of Scylla herself. We call them the Aquarian, after their common mother, Aquaria. Of course, they work magic with water. We have a special raising ground for them, if you would like to see the young."
